Confession: I Got My Belly Button Pierced | Do I Regret It?

OMG! I did it! Yes, I finally did it! I got my belly botton pierced! Yay! I’m so proud of myself because I postponed this moment for too long,

for more than 6 months long! And it was simply out of fear!

I did it, and I’d do it again if I’d needed to because it’s such a simple and fast procedure!

My mind got into lots of scenarios, especially  because I read lots of negative stuff on the internet, with similar experiences that had gone bad.

But, I wanted to make everything right so I had to make sure I chose a professional salon, where I could feel safe and I could also trust.

Finally, I found one and I made the appointment. I was very fearful, I have to admit, but I went anyway.

I was explained all the possible risks, how I should take care of it and how much time it takes for it to heal.

There is always a risk in anything, so in this case the risk was for the body not to tolerate it, especially because my piercing jewelry is made out of gold, and it seems that titanium is the best material to be tolerated by the human body.

I have to take care of it, by cleaning it, two times per day, with saline solution, and I’m not allowed to take hot baths or expose myself to the sun for two months.

It takes a whole year to be healed completely.

So, as you can see, the decision of having your belly button pierced is kind of major, even if it doesn’t seem like that when not knowing all these details.

But, despite knowing all these, I still did it, my body tolerates it, and I feel very good about myself for having done it.

Having my belly button pierced didn’t hurt at all. It actually felt like being pinched by a mosquito. Hahaha! And the whole thing lasted for 10 minutes, from the second I stepped the threshold of the professional tattoo and body piercing salon to the moment I left! Yep, that little time took me to have my belly button pierced and I’m so glad I did it!

From this moment on you’ll always see me with my gold and diamonds belly ring on! Yay!
